Walk in Love
Therefore, become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; and walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.
Ephesians 5:1-2 (Amplified)
The greatest privilege of being a child of God is to reflect His character to a dark, divided, destructive, deluded, and dying world.
Paul reminds us that our lives should mirror the nature of our Heavenly Father. This is not merely through words but through our actions. Your life is now the extension of God to people everywhere.
God's love is never passive; it is always active, compassionate, forgiving, and selfless.
Called to Walk in His Love – Jesus demonstrated this love perfectly when He willingly gave Himself for us. His sacrifice was the ultimate expression of God’s unselfish love. As followers of Christ, we are now called to walk the same path by showing kindness when it is difficult, extending grace when we have been hurt, and seeking the good of others above our own selfish desires.
Choose to Walk in Love – Walking in love is not only a calling, but also a choice. It means allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our attitudes, words, and actions so that the fragrance of Christ can be sensed through our lives. When we choose love, we become a living testimony of God's presence and goodness in the world. You begin to fulfill your calling when you make the choice to walk in His Love.
Take a moment and pray this simple prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Please help me to imitate You in my thoughts, words, and actions. Teach me to walk in love as Christ loved me and gave Himself for me. Fill my life with compassion, humility, and grace so that I may bring glory to You and be a blessing to others.
In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Carry His Love – Now, ask yourself: How can I intentionally and deliberately demonstrate Christ's selfless love to someone around me?
Let your answer become your action.
We love you.
In Christ,
