STRENGTH FOR YOUR HEART

Dearest Partner,

In the passage below, David expresses that his prayers, position, posture, plan, and purpose are aligned with God's Word and Will for his life.

During difficulties, and David had many, you can activate new strength and courage to face any giant.  This Psalm is loaded and layered with praise and petitions drowning out fear and trouble.  My friend, this moment is an opportunity to depend on The Lord and allow Him to strengthen your heart.

Let's absorb these truths from The Word of God:

1. David's Prayers

David knew that spiritual weakness could affect all other aspects of life negatively.  You may feel cut off or disconnected from The Lord and can't find time to pray.  It is time to make the time to pray and reconnect with God.  The flow of eternal strength begins in prayer. 

He is only a prayer away.

2. David's Position

You are more than your mistakes and your mis-steps.  You are a child of God and the apple of His eye.  To move on and move through, you have to be in a position of courage.  You have to "Be of good courage" if you want to get out of and get over fear and doubt.  You may be bleeding from the bruises and beaten down from the blows of life.  You can still get back in position with God and fight the good fight of faith. 

He is only one move away

3. David's Posture

Poor posture can cause injury.  A good posture and bring repair, restoration, healing, and help.  Get to the posture of forgiveness.  Learn to forgive people who have created hurt.  Get to the posture of friendliness. Learn to build relational knots everywhere you go.  Get to the posture of faith.  Learn to feed your faith.  Faith lives on The Word of God. 

He is only one lesson away.

4. David's Plan

While God's Plan for your life is not a secret, His Plan is found in the secret place with Him.  Make the decision to discover and implement His Plan for you.  Invest time with God.  Seize every opportunity to understand His Plan.  He has a working plan for you.  His plan is also worthwhile.  You will not be disappointed with His Plan. He wants to bless you and bring into your breakthrough. 

He is only one step away.

5. David's Purpose

David chose humility over pride, life over lies, and favor over fears. The popular behavior is to complain about, curse God, and then die.  You can bless God and live. You can believe God and walk in victory. You can confidently trust in God's greatness.  One day you will realize and confess that He is "My God" forever. 

He is only one praise away.

 God wants to strengthen your heart.  God will work with you if you are willing to work with Him.

Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
